Getting inspired in Rome 🇮🇹

About a week and a half ago, I was walking around Rome under the blazing sun (seriously, the heatwave in Europe is no joke) and, despite struggling to stay hydrated and walking only in the small bits of shade in the history-filled narrow streets while trying to stuff my face with as much pistachio gelato as possible, I was in complete awe of this incredible city.
Like any good tourist, I tried to capture as many images as possible (370 total 😅), which I hope you'll find this small selection inspiring. After this trip, I promised myself that next time I'll bring my Fuji camera and take more time to shoot the city with my DSLR instead of using my phone because it's just THAT much more artistic. That said, I really like the quality of images coming out of my iPhone 16+ and, like the images shot in Montreal, I find that using an iPhone is quite enjoyable due to its size and because sometimes you just don't feel like travelling with a lot of photography gear. Especially when it's for such a short time, and my EasyJet ticket only allowed for a small cabin bag.
Being there for a very short trip, 2.5 days in total, I sadly didn't get to eat as many pistachio cornettos as I had hoped. However, I did manage to get one at a super cute bakery near the Trevi Fountain, which was jam-packed with tourists.
Rome is a fantastic place, and 2.5 days in the sweltering summer heat isn't enough to fully enjoy what this city has to offer. If you can visit there during late summer or fall, it's probably much better, and I'll take my own advice next time I go there.
So, enjoy these inspiring images from my brief trip to Rome. If you like what you see here, I've published an extended gallery on Patreon, which you can view by joining the gratitude tier.
